The most popular cycling & walking trail is the WARRNAMBOOL to PORT FAIRY RAIL TRAIL:

​

The main sections of the Rail Trail are:​

• Warrnambool to Koroit - 20km - passing through wetlands on the edge of the Southern Ocean and skirting around Tower Hill Wildlife Reserve. 

• The old Koroit Railway Station and Goods Shed have been restored and are a real feature, along with a great childrens playground and bathroom facilities.. 

• Koroit to Port Fairy - 18km - and descends gently through farmland and native vegetation into the seaside village of Port Fairy.

Allow atleast 3-4 Hours each way riding at a comfortable, leisurely pace.

In Warrnambool be sure to check out our local bike paths:​

​

• FORESHORE PROMENADE: A 5.7km fully paved, scenic pathway stretching from The Breakwater all the way to the mouth of the Hopkins River.. The path does continue another couple of kilometres to the Logans Beach Whale Platform, offering beautiful views of the Southern Ocean. 

​

• MAHOGANY WALK: An unsealed pathway following the coastal cliffs at Thunder Point - there are also several marked MTB Trails through the Bush Scrub in this area. 

​

• RUSSELLS CREEK: A 6km fully paved pathway meandering beside Russells Creek from Ardlie Street to Toal Drive.
